The report considered both coverage in major cities — Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk — and the availability of fixed internet in small towns and villages. Across all these areas, Letai outpaced federal competitors in the region.
The infrastructure is based on Tattelecom’s own fiber network: more than 10,800 apartment buildings are connected using FTTB technology, and another 160 small villages use GPON. This makes it possible to provide a stable connection at speeds up to 1 Gbps even where, until recently, only mobile communication was available.
In 2026, the company will continue expanding the network: it plans to connect around 200 more villages and bring GPON coverage to 80% of the republic’s apartment-building stock.
